| Match Summary:
Anthony Watmough opened the scoring for Manly in the 10th minute. A Luke Covell penalty made it 6-2 five minutes later and the Sharks led 8-6 at half-time after winger Bryson Goodwin scored a converted try. The Sharks led 10-6 after another Covell penalty when Steve Menzies was pinged for holding down a tackled player too long. In the 62nd minute brett Kearney scored to put the Sharks up 16-6. Manly looked to be back in it with 12 to go when Michael Bani crossed in the corner but the try was controversally disallowed by the video referee because of a swinging arm by Glenn Stewart. Manly attacked but by the time Bani had a try allowed time was almost up. |
